MathDash Teacher
Set a math evaluation, send it to the class, and get every answer back — over your local network, with nothing leaving the room.
Free. Requires students to have MathDash on their devices.
Running a session
Build a class and import a roster, set up the evaluation — operation, number range, how many problems, whether it's timed — and open the session. Student devices running MathDash join with a code, work through the problems, and send their answers back as they finish.
You can run a session yourself first to see exactly what the class will get.
Evaluations
Each completed evaluation is kept as a record: every problem, what the student answered, and how long they took. A class summary shows how the group did overall, and the most-missed problems across the whole class — which is usually the fastest way to decide what to teach next.
You can write feedback on an evaluation, review a whole set of them in one pass rather than one at a time, and export results as CSV or as a printable PDF record.
Progress and proficiency
Each student has a page of their own showing accuracy over time and average answer time over time, so you can see whether someone is getting faster, getting more accurate, or plateauing — those are three different problems and they need different responses.
Students are grouped by where they're at, with a ready to level up signal for the ones whose accuracy and speed say they've outgrown the range they're practising.
What it doesn't do
There's no cloud, no accounts and no server. The teacher device and the student devices talk to each other directly over the local network — the same way Duel does. Results live on your device, and go no further unless you export them yourself.
That also means it works in a room with no internet at all.
Who it's for
Classroom teachers running math fact practice, and anyone doing the same job under a different name — a homeschool parent, a tutor, an intervention specialist. If you need to know which facts a group of children have actually got, this is the tool for it.
