MathDash Privacy Policy

Effective [DATE].

The short version: MathDash collects nothing, and there is no server for anything to be sent to.

What we collect

Nothing. MathDash has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. It never sends information to us, because there is no MathDash server to send it to. We could not identify a single person who uses this app.

What's stored on your device

The app saves your progress so it's there next time:

All of it stays on the device, in the app's own storage. Deleting the app deletes all of it. None of it reaches us.

Playing with another device

Two features connect devices directly to each other over the local network or Bluetooth. Neither uses the internet, and neither sends anything to us.

Duel

Two devices race head to head. They exchange the settings for the match and each player's score as it happens. No names, no personal details.

Classroom Mode

A teacher's device sends a problem set to student devices. Each student device sends back the name entered on it, along with that student's answers and results, directly to the teacher's device.

That name and those results travel only between the two devices in the room. They are never transmitted to us, to any server, or over the internet. What the teacher then does with the results on their own device is governed by their school's own policies.

If you'd rather a child's real name weren't used, any label works — a first name, initials or a nickname.

Sharing

The app can produce an image of a finished run or a reward certificate to share. That only happens when you tap Share, and it goes wherever you choose to send it. We aren't involved and receive no copy.

Children

MathDash is built for children and collects nothing from them. There are no ads, no purchases, no links out to other sites, no messaging, and no way for anyone to contact a child through the app.

Permissions

The app asks for permission to find devices on your local network. That is used only for Duel and Classroom Mode. Declining it leaves every other part of the app working normally.

MathDash does not use the camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date.
